13 Millionen Women named ‘Maria’ in Brazil (alone)

“In 2010, 190 million persons were registered”, explains Mellissa Penteado, Director of Marketing at proScore. During her recent study it was revealed that more than 13 million persons in Brazil were registered first name ‘Maria’, followed by more than 7 million ‘José’. -> report Estado do São Paulo.

Well, not only do most Brazilian women have the same first name, this is valid for most catholic countries on this planet. Even my partner was married / liaised with several Marias in his romantic past - and wrote a song about. Here’s the video clip. Enjoy!
